QUETTA: An accountability court had handed over Former Balochistan Finance adviser Khalid Lango to NAB on a 14-day remand amidst tight security.
He had been arrested by NAB from the vicinity of High Court after his request for pre-arrest bail was rejected. After his hand over to NAB, Khalid asked for a carpet and newspaper to be provided to him. He said, “I am a member of Assembly, not some terrorist”.
His counsels Farooq Naek and Baaz Muhammad Kakar pleaded for extension in his interim bail and said that their client was being subjected to political victimization and the NAB was being used as tool for it. Lango had resigned after former finance secretary Mushtaq Raisani was arrested by NAB when a massive trove of 630 million rupees was discovered from his home.
