ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has sought a written reply from Pakistan Tehreek i Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan regarding his controversial vote casting.
Imran cast his vote publically; there is footage available of him stamping ballot papers. This is in clear violation of the election code of conduct and can result in 6 months in prison or a fine of 1000 PKR. Khan’s counsel Babar Awan was summoned by the ECP today and the hearing has been adjourned till 16th July as ECP awaits for a reply from Imran.
PTI’s Naeem ul Haque has said that the polling agents are to blame for there was no space to cast vote in secrecy.
