KARACHI: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Saturday filed a reference in an accountability court against four government officials and a builder involved in china-cutting and illegal allotment of 16 acres of land in Scheme 33 pf Gulzar-e-Hijri.
The court accepted the reference for hearing. During the course of hearing, the court issued non-bailable arrest warrants for builder Ahmed Zuhair Madni, who is absconder in the case.
The court issued directives to produce the builder on September 8 by arresting him. The NAB in its reference said that the builder was involved in china-cutting of government land in Gulzar-e-Hijri in Scheme 33. The bureau said that the builder later, with the connivance of some government officials, got the land allotted illegally and subsequently sold the plot to the public.
The other accused are former Mukhtiarkar Muhammad Younus Dahri, Tappadar Barkat Talpur, Ameen Nazeer and EDDO Allah Bachaio.
Hearing of the case was adjourned until September 8, 2017.
