LAHORE – Federal Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique on Saturday said to the media, “That despite the shortcomings in Pakistan, we have a strong judiciary and our army is the best in the world”.
Speaking at a ceremony, Rafique said that condition’s in Pakistan are not as bad as they are portrayed all over the world.
“Third world countries don’t even have media [freedom]; Pakistanis have the right to elect their representatives,” he said.
Rafique further commented on US Defence Sectary’s statement that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) passes through the disputed territory, the minister said the United States needs to keep its statements on this project to itself.
He warned that Pakistan will not listen to the “do more” rhetoric from the Americans, adding that the government is already busy in cleaning up the mess created by the US in Pakistan.
