ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office (FO) convened Indian Deputy High Commissioner in Pakistan JP Singh on Friday over death of a civilian due to unprovoked firing by Indian forces on Line of Control (LOC).
The Indian diplomat, who has been convened three times this week, was handed a letter of protest by the FO while violations from across the border were vehemently condemned.
In another incident of LOC violations on Thursday, two women were killed, while five others sustained injuries in Sialkot region, said Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The ISPR further said that Indian border violations have been befittingly responded to.
During the first 12 days of 2018, India carried out 70 ceasefire violations, according the statistics presented by the FO.
