KAMALIA: A woman by the name of Subia succumbed to her injuries and to the misogyny prevalent in our society a month after she was shot by her brother for wishing to marry a man of her choice.
The accused, Tahir, had shot Subia in her leg a month ago, and instead of taking her to the hospital, had locked her in her room.
Unfortunately, brave Subia breathed her last on Thursday, as the accused managed to escape.
A case has been registered against Tahir and an investigation is currently ongoing.
