KARACHI: Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair met the Ambassador of Peoples Republic of China to Pakistan, Yao Jing on Saturday to hold discussions regarding China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Sindh Governor, on occasion, said that growing relationship between Pakistan and China are vital for regional stability and that CPEC would help Karachi become a major trade centre. “It is also good to register growing interest of Chinese investors in Karachi,” Governor Zubair was quoted as saying on CPEC’s official website.
Zubair also stated that Chinese expertise in CPEC would mutual benefit the two nations, as it will help boost socio-economic welfare of the people of Pakistan.
Yao Jing said during the meeting that China would ensure provision of all sorts of assistance for “meaningful upliftment of the people of Pakistan.”
